Bowen Island a day trip on an island a bit away from Vancouver. You have to take the bus to Horseshoe Bay and purchase a ticket for the Bowen Island ferry. Its a 20-minute ferry ride to the island. One must visit the Bowen Island between May and September during the perfect hot summer months. It’s a perfect weekend gateway destination with a lot of activities like a kayaking tour, walking through the Snug Cove, exploring Crippen park, and enjoying the island life. The Island is the total opposite of city life and is the best way to connect with nature and your surroundings.

The public market is the best place to find exclusive and fresh local produce like chocolates, baked goods, meats, and salmon. There are many food stalls and restaurants around the market serving local dishes made from fresh local produce. Street performers are playing on the oceanfront patio. One can shop their weekly grocery list from just shopping at the market. One can find exclusive deals that make the trip worthwhile. The best way to reach the Granville Island public market is through the ferry as its very hard to get a parking spot close to the market.
