Travel movies that inspire!
There are different types of travel movies – it could be about the protagonist who goes from destination A to B and, as a rule, gets an important lesson along the way; or it is the outstanding adventure where the hero decides to live in a new, maybe exotic location and dives into the real world of new culture and system.
Here we wanted to share with you few amazing movies which will inspire you to pack the suitcase and go explore the world.
Lost in Translation
Bill Murray – is movie star, whose path passes the days of its glory, and Scarlett Johansson – a young woman who feels a little lonely, whom he met in Tokyo. The noise and bustle of the metropolis occupy an important place in Sofia Coppola’s gem, and you guessed it, that’s all a bit lost in translation – both literally and figuratively. All this happens under the amazing soundtrack that is worth listening to, even if you have not watched the movie. Oh, and let’s not forget this iconic scene of a goodbye.
Into the Wild
The film is based on real events, and excellent book, “Into the wild,” shows what can happen when the wanderlust takes over: the hero of the film, Chris McCandless leaves everyone and everything behind to hitchhike to Alaska and live as a hermit. It is necessary to watch a movie, to feel its atmosphere. The hero is not as wild as it may seem at the first sight, and his adventure is not as romantic as they are usually imagined, but they are full of lessons that teach us to appreciate what we have and follow our dreams.
In fact, this is the first part of the trilogy, and you’ll want to see another “Before Sunset” and “Until midnight”. Celebrities Juliette Binoche and Ethan Hawke met in the train, decide to go together in Vienna, and what happens next – the whole story. The trilogy takes place over several decades in different countries. It is a beautiful movie about our travels in life
Another film based on real events: Ernesto “Che” Guevara (! Yes, he) and his friend Alberto Granado, travel to South America on a motorcycle. This film-is a masterpiece full of breathtaking beauty and dramatic moments. The story was really fatal for the two adventurers, and we can say with confidence that this is the way that shaped history and several other road trips.
Movie “Up” charmingly shows that films about the courage and dreams, can also be animated. “Up” is an inspiring story that’s about it – to embody the dream trip into a reality, no matter how old you are.
Walking seems to be the good way to deal with the tragic event in your life, this time we follow the heroine actress Reese Witherspoon – Cheryl Strijdom, – a distance of over 2,000 miles along the Pacific tourist trail. The film is based on a book written by Strijdom, who more or less spontaneously decided to go in a long adventure in life. We follow it for more than 90 days, and now 1100 miles as it tries to overcome all difficulties – without any previous experience of trekking and assembled without the giant marching backpack – and direct their lives back on track.
